MIDI (Master in Industrial Design Innovation) UPM were established to nurture talented students for professional careers and to be equivalent to Professional Designers with relevant knowledge and great analytical skills. Offered by the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Design and Architecture, this programme encouraged the students to engage with experts from across disciplines during the new product development (NPD) process.

MIDI is a 3 semesters (1 year) full time Master’s degree program that consists of 34 credits compulsory courses and 6 elective courses. Potential candidate should possess: 

1. a Bachelor Degree (with Honours) in Design or other related fields with CGPA of 3.00; 
2. or a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a CGPA of 2.75; and a minimum of three (3) years working experience in a relevant field; 
3. or a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a CGPA of 2.50; and a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in a relevant field and: 

The applicant should pass the entrance interview. All international candidates from country where English is not its first language should earn a minimum score of 550 in TOEFL paper-based Test (Academic Version) or level 6.0 in IELTS (Academic Version).
