ASSOC. PROF. TS DR. MOHD YAZID MOHD YUNOS

Assoc Prof Ts Dr Mohd Yazid Mohd Yunos is a graduate of the Diploma in Agriculture from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia in 1995, Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2000, and PhD in 2010 from Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, United.

Kingdom. He has been a lecturer in the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture, Universiti Putra Malaysia since 2001. His research areas focus on Participatory Design, Community Involvement & Participation in Design, and Urban Park Design. He has been with the WARIS research group since 2014 and has been actively publishing more than 60 journal articles, and has been several book chapters, attending presentations, and organizing several conferences and seminars with the WARIS research group. He is also actively involved in industrial and community network engagements for knowledge transfer programs

DESCRIPTION

The WARIS research group is from various disciplines focusing on issues of design in culture, natural heritage m, Islamic-based design, and community involvement in heritage planning. The focus of this group's research is to explore multidisciplinary studies in heritage, cultural landscape and culturally-based planning and design.
