Dr. Athira Azmi

20 September 2023, Helsinki - Ar. Dr. Athira Azmi from the Architecture Department, FRSB UPM was selected as one of the speaker in World of Digital Built Environment 2023 (WDBE 2023) held in Helsinki, Finland to talk about her research regarding the use of Virtual Reality for sustainable housing evaluation.

“Investing in Climate Through Tech” was the WDBE 2023 theme this year. This event brought together digital built environment enthusiasts and professionals from real estate, construction, architects, engineers, researchers, and experts in BIM, VDC, AR/VR, Big Data, IoT, virtual project delivery, and more to present their research, solutions, projects, and achievements.

For the sixth year in a row, WDBE presented a comprehensive overview of the most important current events, phenomena and solutions in the field of digital built environment. With the short presentation from her research, this summit brings UPM to the eye of leading built environment experts and professionals in Europe, at the same time highlighting FRSB Architecture Department’s niche towards sustainability through latest research in digital technologies in the built environment.
