BANGI, January 16 - The Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture, Universiti Putra Malaysia has held an Accreditation Workshop on Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) and Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programs. The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture are two of the professional programs  that need to be accredited by professional bodies after their students graduate.

The workshop involving 23 academic staff from the Department of Landscape Architecture was held on January 16, 2020 at Bangi Resort Hotel.

For reference, the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture program has been fully accredited by the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) for 5 years from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2020.

Accordingly, the preparation of new documents is required in accordance with 'Malaysia Landscape Architecture Program Recognition' procedure and standard, edition April 2019.

It is hoped that with this workshop, the recognized document complies with the BLA and MLA program accreditation requirements for full accreditation by the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) and has taken steps to improve the curriculum quality of both programs.
