FACULTY OF DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE (FRSB)

The Launching Ceremony of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Faculty of Design and Architecture will be held on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Design Hall, Faculty of Design and Architecture, and will be officiated by YBhg. Professor Ir. Dr. B.T. Hang Tuah bin Baharudin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Relations), Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Throwback TEMAN is a monthly initiative that revisits the moments that shaped our journey—captured through nostalgic photographs and videos shared by alumni, staff, and students. Each memory tells a story of friendship, growth, and shared experiences, and will be featured on FRSB’s media platforms from February to May, inviting our community to relive the stories that continue to connect us.

This competition is open to alumni, staff and students as a platform to express the spirit of togetherness, recall memories and express aspirations for the future of FRSB through visual and creative mediums. Attractive prizes await the winners.

The Raya Aidilfitri celebration is themed "Around Togetherness Across Generations" uniting alumni, staff and students in a lively atmosphere, harmony and family spirit.

The program is based on developing a sense of belonging, fostering cooperation among students through creative activities, arts, and grassroots sports in a relaxed, fun atmosphere, as well as strengthening FRSB community ties.

The recreational cycling program is symbolic of FRSB's three-decade journey. The cycling starts from FRSB across the UPM campus, involving alumni, staff, and students, while instilling a healthy lifestyle, strengthening friendships, and environmental sustainability.

The Fiesta TEMAN exhibition showcases the evolution of FRSB's journey, memory, and identity over three decades. The exhibition is divided into three main themes: Nostalgia Trail, Colour Expression, and Time Tree.

As a distinguished highlight, the TEMAN Appreciation Ceremony stands as an official occasion commemorating the establishment of FRSB on 26 June, bringing together alumni, staff, and industry partners in honour of 30 years of FRSB’s enduring excellence. The ceremony is solemnly marked by the inauguration of an exhibition, a groundbreaking ceremony, and a symbolic tree-planting, embodying FRSB’s appreciation for its legacy and its aspirations for the future.

Set against the splendour of a gala dinner, TEMAN’s Grand Finale Nite stands as a magnificent celebration of 30 years of FRSB’s achievements, uniting alumni, staff, and industry partners in an evening of distinction. The occasion is elevated by the presentation of prestigious awards, captivating performances, and exclusive screenings, honouring the legacy and excellence of FRSB.
