Event Summary
UPM’s Vice Chancellor, YBhg. Dato’ Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah FASc has officiated the launching of the book Urban Development of Warsaw: On A Trajectory of Changing Urban Landscapes -A Comparative Analysis with Kuala Lumpur on 22 May 2026. The event was held at Galeri Serdang, located at the Faculty of Design and Architecture, UPM. The book, published by UPM Press, explores the evolution of Warsaw from 1918 to the 21st century, tracing its remarkable journey through destruction, reconstruction, and renewal. The book examines how political shifts, economic transitions, and social resilience have shaped the city's physical form, structure, and identity.
The event was graced by His Excellency Krzysztof Dobrowolski, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Malaysia, together with the authors of the book, Dr Marek Kozlowski, Dr Katarzyna Wagner, Prof. Hubert Kowalski and Associate Professor Dr Shureen Faris Abd. Shukor
