DEAN'S OFFICE

The Faculty of Design and Architecture or FRSB, Universiti Putra Malaysia was established on 26th June 1996. Since its establishment, FRSB has played a very significant role in developing and emerging knowledge in the field of design and architecture, especially towards sustainable development for humanity and national prosperity.

FRSB currently offers three (3) undergraduate programs namely, Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Industrial Design. FRSB also offers postgraduate programs in the form of coursework and research. There are six (6) coursework-based master's programs namely Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Tropical Urban Design, Sustainable Landscape Management, Industrial Design Innovation and Construction Technology Management, in addition to research-based master's and PhD programs. All programs offered have achieved accreditation status set by professional bodies (LAM and ILAM) and have been recognized by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

FRSB in its phase spanning almost three decades is committed to continue moving forward and become an excellent faculty in the field of design and architecture.  This commitment can be achieved with the cooperation of all faculty entities namely staff, students, community and industry. To ensure that this planning is achieved and structured, FRSB has drawn up an  FRSB Strategic Plan 2021-2025 to ensure that this initiative is achieved and implemented.

Therefore, I call on all current students, prospective students, alumni, staff, researchers and community and industry friends to continue with us to color and boost the development of the expansion of design and architecture knowledge for the sake of prosperity, sustainability and universal humanity.
