Sinopsis :

As the non-traditional industrial designers, this group works across disciplines to understand human beings, as well as technology and business thus linking the gap between consumers’ needs and technological advancement of tomorrow. It is an interdisciplinary area that is grounded on problem solving methodology of logics, empirical data and associational research, not necessarily intuition. The group acts as the bridge and vehicle that connects industrial design to the research clusters of Science and Technology and Social Science. The key strategy is to overcome the raised needs and issues by means of providing the explicate solutions from the design and technological perspective. The research interest includes product design and development, materials and manufacturing, smart materials, artificial intelligent, computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (cad/cam), human factors design, assistive technology, TRIZ, design and technology management and intellectual property.
