OFFICIAL LAUNCHING OF 1ST YEAR ARCHITECTURAL EXHIBITION IN COLLABORATION WITH PNB MERDEKA VENTURES

The Faculty of Design and Architecture (FRSB), Universiti Putra Malaysia, successfully held the Year 1 Architecture Student Works Exhibition, titled Layers of Architecture: Identity in Texture and Form, from 15 to 30 December 2025 at Gallery Serdang. Organised in collaboration with PNB Merdeka Ventures, the exhibition brought together conceptual projects, architectural drawings, and physical models developed throughout the semester. The event was led by the Year 1 teaching team—Ts. Mahmoud Bghdadi (Studio Coordinator), Dr. Noranita Mansor, Dr. Annisa Ummihusna, and En. Mohamad Redhuan Ramli—whose support, guidance, and supervision helped shape the students’ creativity and confidence. The exhibition launched in the presence of faculty members, students, and invited industry partners, marking a proud milestone for the architecture programme.

Featuring diverse works that explored texture, identity, and spatial form, the showcase captured the growth of students transitioning from foundational exploration to independent design thinking. The exhibition reflected not only design output but the process behind it—late nights, trial and error, hands-on model making, and collaborative studio culture. The lecturers expressed deep pride in the students’ achievements, noting that their dedication, persistence, and hard work culminated beautifully in the exhibition. The success of Layers of Architecture stands as a strong testament to the talent and potential of the next generation of architects at FRSB, UPM.
