Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) signed an MOU with Cihan University-Erbil, Iraq
27th February 2025, IRAQ - The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) delegation led by the Dean of the Faculty of Design and Architecture Associate Professor Ts. Gs. Dr. Mohd Johari Mohd Yusof have met Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, Iraq for a signing and exchanging ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities. As stated in the joint agreement, the two universities will cooperate in holding international conferences and exchanging students, and many important points related to scientific matters that serve the two universities.
The potential collaboration will include research and innovation, exchange and sharing of scholars and resources, arrange different lectures jointly by students and faculty, exchange of students and lecturers and other possibilities of collaboration. They also discussed the appropriate means of developing scientific relations and collaborations between the two universities to benefit from expertise and exchange information in various specializations and fields.
Several faculty members were also there to attend the fifth scientific conference in the field of Civil and Architectural Engineering (5th International Conference on Architectural and Civil Engineering Sciences: ICAC25) as participants and speakers. The conference was held by Cihan University in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia
