A total of 15 students from Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) together with two lecturers have visited to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) and Pekan, Pahang from 24-27 September 2016. The visit to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage was to obtain information about the proposed development along the river Pahang in Pekan area which became the site of research students in this semester.
The visit also aims to undertake an inventory and analysis of the site along Sungai Pahang in Pekan. In addition, the visit also aims to establish industrial relations with the Department of Irrigation and Drainage District and Local Authorities.
The objective of this visit was to expose the students to the proposed development along Sungai Pahang in Pekan, and give exposure to the students about the development of coastal river systems commonly practiced by JPS.
